Linking smart city concepts to urban resilience

چکیده

In this study, ten cities from the Visegrád countries are compared applying cross-sectional data (from year 2015). After standardization process of involved 11 indicators, their adaptive capacity is measured by resilient index that we developed and a rank created. This formed three components (demographic, social-economic spatial-environmental resilience components). Significant differences were revealed related to examined settlements. spite fact capitals most an economic perspective, results around or below average regarding demographic components. indicates success city does not necessarily imply greater resilience: being economically successful necessary but sufficient condition for city.
